You know you are getting old when............

You are excited about your new vacuum that has to charge for 20 hours before you can use it...
You buy a 100 dollar trash can at Bed Bath and Beyond...
You ask someone to meet you at Conoco for coffee...ok..that may just be you know you are cheap when.....
You suggest to run errands before a movie date if you get to the theatre and have an hour to kill.......
You make blankets for Christmas presents and anytime someone asks you also want to tell them how to make them.
You realllllly want to clean the dog slobber off the sliding glass door you are staring at.
You think...what should I do today???? and come up with walk the dog, cut up dog treats, go through kids clothes, and at some point I have got to put those pictures into albums!

Wow, pretty dateable....not! guess what...I also don't care cause I am fine with all of the above...shhh, don't tell anyone. My dating profile says I am fun, exciting, and in shape. There is also a "younger" pic up....what? it's still me!
(I do not have a dating profile...but if I did)

Craigslist

I have not had crap to blog about. Man that was a bit. Anyway, so I have a 20 year old college student who has rented a room from us in our home............................................hmmmmm. $350..think it may have dropped in her mind to $300 so I have to talk with her about that.

Craigslist for a roommate sight unseen all the way from Kentucky. No pics of the room, no meeting first...she just shows up with a dresser and boxes and tv and moves it right into the house into the bedroom after a quick handshake and hello...no kidding.

She is staying the first night at her boyfriend's parents hotel??? Guess they flew in to help them move out here? Anyhow the room stinks from perhaps the puppy sneaking in there and peeing after I cleaned the carpet, the new boy rat is way stinkier than our other girl rat ever was, and I can hardly open my door because everything that was in Allis room is now as far as I could drag it into the room before I needed to go get more before they got here.

Think she is staying here tomorrow night....I'll let you know.

(Ashley if you found this blog and are reading it I don't know you yet and this could be very bad or turn out ok...just letting people know what I'm up to. Just my family and close friends read this.)

We are home! Uneventful trip...well sort of....

Day 1
Dropped keys in toilet after a potty break from Alli...number two of course, locked keys in car while it was running...got bruise on arm trying to get keys out of car through the window...wore out the seat of my suit at some point...noticed it in the mirror after swimming..yea...after swimming.....kids wanted to watch Grease till midnight they kept saying "no, we love it!" I don't think they have ever seen it, but I could be mistaken, I am only their mother.

Along for the ride were three box turtles, Lizzy the lizard, Xena the puppy shephard, and Wart the toad.

Day 2
Turtles stunk, dogs stunk, dog tried to run off at a rest stop, Alli never took Lizzy off her shirt in stores the bathroom and McDonalds...oops, and Wally fought to hold Lizzy the whole time! 5 hours from home we were all yelling at each other so I pulled over to let them out to wait for their dad, at a rest area. I told them I would give him directions and him or Aunt Lisa would be there to pick them up. :) I didn't do this of course.
We all calmed down after running around a bit, going to the bathroom and getting some water, and got back in the car to go head for some dinner. Alli broke a plate at the Chinese Buffet, Wally was pretty good, and of course (since I am on a mostly salad diet), all they had was some iceburg lettuce, shredded cheese, cottage cheese, and about four kinds of salad dressings....

So glad to be home!

Behiind on my Blog

So my cousin Melissa posted a friendly message that I was behind on my blog. Perhaps. So what have I been doing? Feeding horses then picking up their poop, feeding dogs and giving pills, feeding cats, cooking hummingbird food then filling three feeders, feeding kids, sweeping, sweeping, and sweeping. Walking to the mailbox a mile away, burying compost, sucking dirty water out of a buggy green swimming pool to refill it, driving 30 miles just to get to a Wal-Mart, and picking ticks off all of us.

Also trying to successfully pass three online Accounting classes, and have the house clean for Norma when she gets back.

I wish I were blogging!!!!! :( :( :(
