Are you having fun?

So my friend Sarah asked if i was having fun and I replied (as any mom would) "just sweating and walking, drinking coffee, then doing homework, blogging, emailing, cooking, cleaning..."mom wheres my long socks, mom I can't find the tiger's ear, mom bring me some chips, mom I'm hungry, mom something is in my butt would you look at it".....sound like fun???
The kids however, are riding horses, riding the 4 wheeler, shooting the air rifle, swimming in bluejohn creek just down from the house, having cake for breakfast..need I say more. Once you have kids fun is out the window...It becomes...what can I do so the kids have fun. Kind of a crock! I guess I would look silly fighting with the kids over who gets to ride the horse first and shoot the air rifle :) or asking them to see what is in my butt.
Peace and relaxation may be more of the way to describe what I am trying to bring to fruition here. This may be achieved through hiding in my room, locking myself in the bathroom, or driving away in my car.
